Hanazono
Hanazono is the smallest and by a wide margin the most expensive part of Niseko: a short list of stays whose median peak booking runs roughly three times Hirafu's. It is a developed resort rather than a village — the accommodation is new, the operators are international brands, and there is no cheap end to the market here at all. Nothing on our list stays open in summer. If you are choosing Hanazono you are usually choosing a specific property rather than an area, which is why the shortlist below is short and reads more like a set of decisions than a neighbourhood.
